NORTH BERWICK, Maine - Caroline Louise Adams Littlefield, 86, died quietly on November 1, 2021 at Wentworth Douglas Hospital, after a brief period of declining health.

Caroline was born in Charlestown, N.H., on January 22, 1935 to Leon Adams and Marjorie Farrell Adams. She graduated from Charlestown High School, Salem Hospital School of Nursing and later received her degree from St. Joseph's College.

She was formerly employed at Wentworth Douglas Hospital, SAD 60 school nurse for 15 years, Rochester Visiting Nurses, and on her retirement worked for Lilac City Pediatrics for 8 years.

She was a former member of the No. Berwick Health Council, No. Berwick School Board, Philomath Club and the No. Berwick Garden Club.

She was predeceased by her husband Roger C. Littlefield in 2007 and her daughter, Sara in 2015. She leaves behind three daughters, Lisa Littlefield and her husband Raymond DeFelice of Hooksett, NH, Lori Grinnell and her husband Barry of Boothbay Harbor, and Beth Littlefield of Belgrade, Mt., granddaughters Meredith Grinnell and her husband Eric Siller of Stoneham, Mass., Meaghan Grinnell and her husband Matthew Mullen of Atkinson, NH and one great grandson Nicholas Mullen. She is also survived by her brother Howard Adams of Keene, NH and brother-in-law Larry Littlefield and his wife Christine of Saco, as well as many nieces and nephews.
