Carolyn Flint ... enjoyed sewing, ceramics; at 87

BERWICK, Maine - Carolyn Barbara Flint, 87, a resident of Berwick, died on Feb., 17, 2022, at her home following a lengthy illness surrounded by her children at her side.

She was born in Belfast on April 12, 1934, a daughter of Edward and Lottie (Rumney) Knight and graduated from Spaulding High School.

Carolyn worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company for 23 years and then went to work at JCPenney for over 20 years in Newington, N.H.

She taught Sunday school at a church in Dover, N.H. She was involved with 4H and taught sewing. She treasured dancing with her late husband, Harvey and the "Big" gatherings with family and friends. She enjoyed sewing and ceramics and most of all spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Carolyn was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Harvey Flint who died in 2017; brothers and sisters Harriett Mahoney, Seraphine Moulton, Marion Maddix, John Knight and Edward Knight as well as her special granddaughter Jennifer Lee Couture.

She is survived by a son Daniel Flint and his wife Donna of Sanford, two daughters Karen and her husband Rob Kilgore of Berwick and Susan and her husband Bill Blanchette of Somersworth, N.H.; her brothers, Charles Knight and his wife Barbara of Rockport, and Russell Knight and his wife Casey of Laconia, N.H., and grandchildren Kelly Shannon, Steven Couture Jr., Ryan Kilgore, Kimberly Lamontagne, Daniel Flint II, Amanda Flint and Heather Couture ; 2 step-grandchildren, Timothy Blanchette, Christine and her husband William Ruff, 10 great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren.
