ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. - Carroll Colwell, of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Lebanon, Maine, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. Born on December 8, 1945, in Rochester, N.H., son of Kenneth and Rena Colwell. He was a resident of Zephyrhills, Fla., with a summer home in Lebanon.
Carroll was retired from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. He gave 27 years of Masonic service and was an honorary member of the Maine grand chapter of the Widow Sons. He enjoyed his BBQ smoker and being outdoors or in his pool! He could be found in his garage doing busy projects creating things for his great grandchildren. He will be remembered as the guy who always kept people laughing and driving his golf cart down the main roads.
He is predeceased by his loving wife of 49 years, Kathy and two brothers, George and Kenneth.
He leaves behind three sons and their spouses Timothy Colwell and John of New Port Richie, Fla., Kurt and Gina Colwell of Lebanon, Maine, Kevin and Jody Colwell of Lebanon, Maine; Grandchildren Scott, Kaylee, Katie, Colby, Krysta, Kody, Jackie, Keith, Koltin; Great-Grandchildren: Kyler, Josie and Ezzie Rae; his loving companion Carol of four years; and beloved dog Diggah.
