Cecil Warburton ,,, operated Warby's Lunch; at 86

ROCHESTER - Cecil H. Warburton, 86, died peacefully on Friday, Sept. 9, 2022, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Born on Feb. 4, 1936, in Rochester, Cecil was the son of Harvey and Janet (Hull) Warburton.

A true Rochester native, Cecil was born and raised in the Rochester area. He attended Spaulding High School, and following his service in the Army, Cecil held several different jobs around Rochester. He worked several years for Cocheco Bottling and eventually went on to start his own mobile restaurant, Warby's Lunch. Cecil was honored to serve the people of Rochester and Milton.

In his free time, Cecil could often be found gardening or feeding the birds, especially his beloved cardinal birds. He loved listening to music and used his musical talent playing the organ for his family and friends. Cecil was also an avid Patriots fan.

Most importantly though, Cecil was a Grampa. He was at his happiest when he was spending time with his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, and his family will forever cherish the smile he had on his face when he was with them.

Along with his parents, Cecil is preceded in death by his beloved son, Corey Warburton; and siblings, Robert Warburton, Betty Vachon, Ruth Ann Chase, and Wendell "Pop" Warburton.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 61 years, Edwina (Ferland) Warburton; son, Lee Warburton, and his wife, Karen; siblings, Hazel Lopsey and David Warburton; grandchildren, Annmarie Davis, Tyler Warburton, Sarah Currier, Amanda Lindsey, Joshua Whitehouse, and Jessica Ellis; and five great-grandchildren.
