ROCHESTER - Cecile F. Dumont, 86, died on April 10, 2021.

She was born on December 30, 1934 in Lewiston, Maine, and was the oldest of five children of Noel and Dolorese Mathieu. She married Roger Dumont in 1954 and they moved to Berwick, Maine. They later moved and made Rochester their home for many years.

Cecile was very devoted to her family and they were the center of her life. She was a home maker and loved cooking, baking and sewing. She worked for the Rochester school lunch program for several years.

In later life she enjoyed time with her grandchildren and was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary's Church in Rochester. She also volunteered in other church related activities.

Cecile is survived by her children Susan, Larry and wife Michele, Lisa and husband John, as well as grand-children Nick and wife Jenna, Lisa and fiancé Matthew, Brandon and wife Lisa, Sarah, Joe and Katie and great grandchildren Nicholas and Ava. She is also survived by her siblings Pauline, Juliette and husband Richard, Andre and wife Rita and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Larry and his wife Doris.

Cecile was very thoughtful, kind and generous and always put others first. She will live in our hearts forever
