Charles Richard Tucker died peacefully at the age of 88 on June 13th, 2023, with his family by his side.

Born on June 28, 1934, in Rochester, he is predeceased by his son Mark Richard Tucker.

He was a student at Spaulding High School, Rochester prior to enlisting and proudly serving as a corporal in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. Upon his return from duty, he attended and graduated from Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro.

He loved spending time with all his family and was extremely proud of all their accomplishments. He had the best smile which he shared with all.

Charlie had a lifelong love of everything hockey and was an avid sports enthusiast, especially golf in the hockey offseason.

He had a long career as a firefighter in Wolfeboro, and West Hartford, Conn.

Charlie was affectionately known as The Iceman during his many years driving the Zamboni for the NHL team The Hartford Whalers.

He is survived by his wife Phyllis Whitman Tucker of 57 years, Daughter Shelley A. Jolie (Jeff) of Deep River CT, Son Mark E. McLenna of Waterbury, CT, Daughter Missy (Elizabeth) C. Bonacci (William) of Newmarket, NH, Daughter Catherine T. Reddington (Michael) of Rye, NH, Charlie was blessed with eight Grandchildren and seven Great Grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.
