City Council meetings move to inperson at James W. Foley Community Center

ROCHESTER - City Council meetings will move from remote to inperson at the Community Room at the newly named James W. Foley Memorial Community Center starting tonight when the City Manager will begin presenting his FY22 Proposed Budget.

The former Rochester Community Center was recently renamed to honor the slain journalist.

City Manager Blaine Cox will follow this week's workshop with department presentations on the following six Tuesdays. The Public Hearing for the proposed budget is scheduled for May 18.

The outdoor signage is not up yet, but inside the name James W. Foley Memorial Community Center is prominently displayed.

Beside the budget, other agenda items include discussion of the proposed Ethics Commission and City Charter amendments that might be necessary to ensure the commission's equitable oversight of all city boards members.

All the meetings start at 6:30 p.m.

How to Watch:

Meetings/Workshops will be televised live on Atlantic Broadband channel 26, Comcast channel 22, and live-streamed/archived at www.rochesternh.net/government-channel.

When entering the Community Room, visitors are asked to use the rear parking lot door across from the tennis courts.
