City Hall foot traffic will be disrupted this week during staircase renovations

ROCHESTER - The Department of Public Works will be installing new stair treads on the front and side City Hall entrances, during which time they will be closed.

The front staircase will be closed on Thursday, while the side staircase (facing the Police Department) will be shut down on Friday. The rear elevator/handicap entrance will remain open throughout this process. Signage will be in place to direct foot traffic to alternate doorways during the closures.

Additionally, there may be a slight odor in the building due to the adhesive used to install the rubber stair treads. Fans will be placed at exit doors to help mitigate potential odors.
