City holds public hearing to get feedback on $7.3M loan to pay water-sewer deficit

The City of Rochester will hold a public hearing on May 12 at 6 p.m. for residents to make their feelings know regarding a $7.35 million dollar installment loan to pay of a water/sewer deficit.

The resolution reads as follows: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION TO THE GENERAL FUND UNASSIGNED FUND BALANCE IN THE AMOUNT OF $7,350,000.00 IN CONNECTION WITH THE WATER-SEWER FUND DEFICIT AND BORROWING AUTHORITY PURSUANT TO RSA 33:9

The Rochester City Council will conduct the hearing to take citizen input on the question of whether to appropriate $7,350,000 for the purpose of paying costs associated with relief of the Water-Sewer Funds deficits and/or whether to authorize the borrowing of $7,350,000 through the issuance of bonds and/or notes, and/or through other legal form(s), for the purposes of funding the expenditures incident to the implementation of the Project.

Copies of the proposed resolutions are available in the City Clerk's Office.
