ROCHESTER - For approximately six to eight weeks the Rochester Public Works Department will be flushing hydrants from 11 p.m. through 7 a.m.

The effort began on Sept. 27 and is likely to run through November.

As a result of flushing, some slight discoloration may be noticed in your water. Any discoloration should clear up within a few hours. Customers are urged to check their water before doing laundry during this time. Customers may also experience low water pressure during this time.

Please call the Rochester Public Works Department at 332-4096 with any questions or concerns.
