DOVER - A Rochester man has been accused in an attack on another man that ruptured his spleen.
Joseph Carignan, 35, of 49 Royal Crest, faces three and a half to seven years in state prison if found guilty.
Court documents allege he "recklessly caused bodily injury" when he "punched and/or kicked (the victim) "causing his spleen to rupture."
The incident is said to have occurred Nov. 27 in Rochester.
The Strafford County grand jury indictment was handed down in August, the first grand jury convened since the COVID pandemic hit in March. Some 150 indictments were handed down in all.
An indictment is not an indication of guilt; it is merely an accusation that must be proved in court.
