DOVER - A Rochester man is facing a stiff prison term after his indictment on first degree assault charges involving his alleged attack on an elderly family member.
According to court documents, Brett M. Vatcher, 32, of Cross Wind Lane, "purposely caused serious bodily injury to (the victim) when he kicked her in the head multiple times causing a brain bleed, cheek bone fracture, lacerations to her cheek and scalp and a maxillary sinus fracture."
The Class A felony carries a seven and a half to 15-year prison term and a maximum fine of $4,000.
