City man arrested in Holy Rosary Credit Union heist

ROCHESTER - Rochester Police today arrested a 46-year-old city man in last Saturday's robbery at Holy Rosary Credit Union on Brock Street.

The arrest was made at the Strafford County Jail where David Perkins, with a former address of 479 Gonic Road, Rochester, was being held on a separate undisclosed charge.

Perkins was charged with Class A felony unarmed robbery with bail set at $100,000 cash.

Police say Perkins walked into the HRCU main office around 10:35 a.m. on Saturday, handed a teller a note demanding money and fled on foot.

No weapon was ever shown, police said.

Earlier this week Rochester Police had indicated they were receiving numerous tips and were following up on those tips.

Perkins will make his first court appearance on the charge on Monday.

Rochester Police continue to actively investigate the robbery and are asking anyone who may have information to call the police department 603-330-7128 or for anonymous tips that lead to an arrest you could receive up to $1,000 cash through Rochester Crimeline by calling 603-335-6500.
