City man charged in hit-run after fleeing accident scene

ROCHESTER - A Rochester man was charged with several infractions in a single-vehicle hit and run accident Monday night on Estes Road.

Larry Riccitelli, 21, was charged with conduct after an accident, operating after suspension, both misdemeanors, and misuse of plates, a violations.

Police first responded to the area of 28 Estes Road around 9:45 for a report of a single-vehicle collision. The investigation revealed that Riccitelli was traveling south in a white Dodge Caliber when the vehicle left the roadway, rolled onto its side and struck a tree. As a result of the collision there was significant damage to the vehicle.

The Dodge flipped on its side and came to rest against a tree.

As officers were responding it was reported that the driver was fleeing from the scene on foot. Once on scene officers were able to locate Riccitelli.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.

The case is still under investigation, and Rochester Police are asking anyone who may have information about this incident to call the Rochester Police Department at 330-7128.
