City man indicted in Maine on charges of possession of sexually explicit material

YORK, Maine - A Rochester, N.H., man is facing up to five years in state prison after his indictment on a pair of charges of possession of sexually explicit material.

The complaint was filed by Kittery Police against Raymond Apac, 70, of McDuffee Street and involved incidents that occurred between June and August of 2018.

Kittery Police Chief Robert Richter said on Thursday that while the indictment was handed down on Sept. 8, the investigation is ongoing, so he couldn't comment further on the case.

"I can't get into the details," he noted.

The charges include a Class C felony, which is punishable by a maximum prison term of five years.

The grand jury indictments were handed down on Sept. 8 and released on Thursday.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, rather that enough evidence has been produced to move forward to trial.
