A Rochester man was arrested Thursday night after police say his vehicle struck a pedestrian on Milton Road and left the scene.

Mark Lefebvre, 55, of 11 Day Lilly Lane, East Rochester, was charged with conduct after an accident, driving without a valid license and drunken driving.

The injured man, identified as Jason Towne, 33, of 171 North Main St., Rochester, was transported to Frisbie Hospital with what were described as serious but nonlife-threatening injuries.

Police got the call around 8:30 p.m. and responded to the area of O'Keefe's for a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. It was reported that the vehicle involved had left the scene prior to police arrival. The vehicle then drove back by the scene with witnesses pointing out the vehicle to police as it drove by.

Officers attempted to locate the vehicle in the area but they were unsuccessful. The vehicle was described as a dark colored Hyundai Elantra.

Lefebvre, owner of the vehicle, turned himself into police a short time later.
