City of Rochester top earners includes patrolman with almost $40G in overtime

ROCHESTER - The list of Top Ten City of Rochester Municipal Employees wage and benefit earners for 2019 include the city manager, the fire and police chiefs and a Rochester Police patrol officer paid almost $41,000 in overtime.

City Manager Blaine Cox topped the overall wage and benefits package at $208, 651, which included gross wages of $155,295.

Second on the list was Fire Chief Mark Klose with $110,119 in wages paid, while in fourth was Police Chief Paul Toussaint at $115,584.

Sandwiched between Klose and Toussaint was Patrolman Justin Livingstone, who accumulated almost $67,000 in salary plus almost another $41,000 in overtime.

The report listing all the benefit, wage and incentive disbursements is released around the end of January every year. This year's list was uploaded onto the Rochester city website on Wednesday afternoon.

Others in the Top Ten of city wage and benefit earners include Police Sgt. Eric Babine at $152,064, Fire Capt. Eric Lenzi at $149,345, Fire Capt. Mark Avery at $148,060, Deputy Police Chief Gary Boudreau at $147,888, Director of City Services Peter Nourse at $144,186, and Police Sgt. Thomas Powers at $143,450.

Other top overtime recipients included Lenzi at $29,026, Powers at $39,274, Avery at $28,398 and Patrol Officer Michael Brinkman at $28,572.

The list does not include Rochester Schools employees.
