Clara S. Terry ... formerly of Rochester; at 85

SAN ANTONIO, Tlayacapan, Mexico - Clara S. Terry, 85, formerly of Rochester, N.H. and most recently of San Antonio Tlayacapan, died at home after a brief illness on Saturday, July 1, 2023.

Born March 14, 1938, in Bainbridge, N.Y., she was the middle daughter of Orvin "Pat" and Mary (Bennett) Skinner. She was predeceased in 2015 by her husband of 57 years, Graydon Fay Terry. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Terry and her husband Derek Richner of San Antonio Tlayacapan, and Kathie Terry and her husband David Fisher of Westbrook, Maine; one son, Patrick Terry and his wife Rose Conley of Sanford, Maine; and two granddaughters, Brianna Ronayne of Honokaa, Hawaii, and Caitlin Ann Carey and her husband Daniel Carey of New York City. She leaves behind many extended family members and friends.

Clara raised her family in Kittery, Maine, moving to New Hampshire after retirement. Clara's family and friends remember her as a voracious reader and someone who loved to bake, knit, crochet, and garden. Most recently, she and her beloved cat, Minnie, moved to Mexico where she enjoyed a new culture, the warmth, birdwatching, and the flowers.
