Claremont man ID'd as victim in Unity motorcycle crash

UNITY - Police have identified the victim in a Saturday motorcycle accident as a 50-year-old Claremont man.

John Wittemann died when his motorcycle crashed on 2^nd NH Turnpike in Unity around 4:50 p.m.

A preliminary investigation indicates Wittemann's motorcycle failed to negotiate a curve, possibly due to speed, officials say.

The State Police were assisted at the scene by the Unity Fire Department and Golden Cross Ambulance.
