CONCORD - Local current cases of COVID-19 continue to dwindle with Rochester now having the most of any surrounding towns with 15.

Meanwhile state numbers show 56 new positive test results with four among them under 18 and five new cases where hospitalization was necessary.

Two of the new cases are from Strafford County.

Current case numbers from surrounding town or cities include Dover with 11 and Somersworth, Farmington, Barrington and Milton all with 1-4. Numbers aren't available for Lebanon, Maine, as the state's DHHS officials have thus far refused to give case numbers by specific locales, only counties.

Media outlets in Maine have ramped up pressure on state officials to change the policy.

Rochester Emergency Operations Center Chief Mark Klose said as of Wednesday afternoon the city was down to 10 current cases. He said he won't get new numbers till this afternoon.

DHHS also announced nine deaths related to COVID-19, all residents of either Rockingham or Hillsborough counties.
