ROCHESTER - The New Hampshire Charitable Foundation has awarded a $19,500 grant to give Creteau Technology Center students scholarships to technical classes at Great Bay Community College.

The allocation will provide scholarship assistance to the 13 students enrolled in Creteau Tech's Bonding and Finishing Program at the college. The students are earning college credit while they finish their senior year at Spaulding High School.

Creteau received the grant following close coordination between committee members representing the school and the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, with the shared goal of supporting the program and the students who comprise it.

"The generous support of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation will directly benefit our students, and help them pursue their personal goals," Superintendent Michael L. Hopkins said. "We are all grateful for the foundation's support and for the ultimate success it will help our students achieve."

The New Hampshire Charitable Foundation is New Hampshire's statewide community foundation. It manages more than 1,800 funds that were created by generous individuals, families and businesses, and awards nearly $40 million in grants and scholarships every year.

The Foundation works with citizens to maximize the power of giving, supports great work happening in local communities and leads and collaborates on high-impact initiatives. For more information, please visit www.nhcf.org or call 603-225-6641.
