ROCHESTER - The man who police say went on a one-man crime spree last month committing two robberies in one day saw one of his felony robbery charges dropped, while the more serious of the two will move forward in a Dover court.

Okiemute “Leo” Omatie , 19, of Fifth Street, Dover, still faces charges in connection with a Dover armed robbery the night of June 15, but charges stemming from a robbery earlier in the day at the Residence Inn in Rochester were nol prossed.

Omatie was to have faced a probable cause hearing in the Rochester case on Thursday in Rochester District Court, but the hearing was canceled after prosecutors made their decision.

Police say that on the day of the incidents Omatie, with accomplice Tasha Loaiza, 21, of 17 Norway Plains Road #43, Rochester, robbed a Rochester woman of money, a computer tablet and prescription drugs.

Then later in the day Dover Police say Omatie, this time in concert with Phillip Swanson, 27, of Dover committed another robbery at 105 Locust St. where they robbed a Dover man of a laptop, computer tablet and prescription drugs, including Klonopin.

Omatie is said to have tasered, punched and kicked the victim during the robbery.

He was later treated and released from Wentworth Douglas Hospital in Dover.

Swanson was also charged with armed robbery. Both Omatie and Swanson have probable cause hearings on the Dover incident later this month.

Loaiza, meanwhile, is on personal recognizance bail after she was released last week on condition she stay sober and drug free, wear a GPS monitoring device and stay at a specified Somersworth address.
