CONCORD - The state's DHHS office announced 42 new positive test results for COVID-19 on Friday, including three under the age of 18 and two from Strafford County.

Current hospitalized cases edged down to 18 with one new hospitalization identified.

Another positive metric in Friday's report is that persons being monitored are down to just over 3,000 from a high of nearly 4,000 in June, and that new data shows 88 percent of those who contracted the virus have fully recovered.

Locally, current COVID cases remain the same as those released on Thursday, with seven in Dover, 1-4 in Rochester, Somersworth, Strafford and Barrington and none in Milton and Farmington.
