ROCHESTER - Cynthia A Helton (Richardson), 65, of Rochester dued peacefully on Oct. 24 with loved ones by her side, of complications from her four-year battle with cancer.

Born August 16, 1957 in Bangor, Maine, to the late Leora Richardson (Dunbar) and Kenneth Richardson, she is survived by her husband of 42 years, Donald T Helton of Rochester, Daughter Christine Nigro and her Husband Christopher of Nottingham, Son Jason Fitch and Girlfriend Michelle of Kingsland, Ga., Son Ty Helton and his wife Kirstyn Helton of Springvale, Maine.

She will be sorely missed by her Grandchildren Chelsey, Jimmie, Dylan, Jacob, Kolby, Chloe and Aivah and her 3 Great Grandchildren Trayvon, Everlee and Ahlani. They will eternally hold 'Nana/Great Nana' with love in their hearts. She is also survived by her sister Donna Brunelle of Dover, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by brothers Timothy Richardson of Dover, Edwin Richardson of Sanford, Maaine and sister Peggy Geathers from Rochester.

Cyndy, as her friends knew her, graduated from Dover High School and spent many years post education in food service as a waitress and later in her career with the UNH ROTC. She was a free spirit who loved time with her family and friends and would do anything to make them smile. There was no yard sale too small, nor antique store too big that wouldn't grab her attention; especially in the company of her mother and siblings or whoever else was along for the ride. On her favorite days, you could find her soaking up the sun and smiles by the lake with loved ones. She loved her cats and her late-loyal pup Teegan, who will all miss the comfort of her warm lap on a cool autumn afternoon.
