HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. - Cynthia "Cindy" Steves Vachon, 66, of Hendersonville, died on Wednesday, July 7, 2021. Cindy was born on September 7, 1954, in Rochester, N.H., to the late Thomas Leonard Steves and the late Prudence Waterhouse Allard.

Cindy is also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Carrie Jean Vachon. Cindy was a graduate of Spaulding High School in Rochester. She was a business owner. Cindy was an animal lover, horse enthusiast, a Great Pyrenees rescuer, and a devoted mother and grandmother "Mimi", who was loved beyond words.

Cindy is survived by her husband of 20 years, Joseph Stanley, Jr; Daughter, Jennifer Vachon (Keith Morgan) of Hendersonville; Grandson, Jesse Morgan of Hendersonville, and sisters, Nancy Higgins (Terry) of Lebanon, Maine, and Melany Steves (Bill) of Hudson, N.H. Cindy is also survived by Jessie( Brian) and Elizabeth Gosselin; Sara (Derrick) Lucas, Owen and Theo Cantrell; Emily (Josh) Banks; Krysta (Gary) and Elias Westmoreland; Kara (Jeremy) Greyson, Sophia and Reagan Robitaille and Kaleigh Seckendorf, all of New England. She also leaves behind her 13 year old Great Pyrenees, Puppy.
