ROCHESTER - Son, Brother, Father, and Friend. Retired US Army Staff Sergeant General David W. Blaisdell, 64, of Rochester, died at Frisbie Memorial Hospital on April 25, 2021. Dave was born March 9th, 1957 in Rochester. He graduated from Somersworth High School in 1975 and entered the Army, where he served in Vietnam and spent time as a Software Analyst. He retired from Active Duty in 1995. David spent his remaining professional working years at Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and retired in 2017. Throughout his life, he traveled, built a life around himself, shared it with those who loved him, and made sure to enjoy the little things in life that made him happy.

David was a quiet man with a large heart and could always offer an even bigger hug. Dave loved puzzles, logic games, poker and anything else that would challenge him. He enjoyed being around those he loved throughout his life, and attending as many Red Sox games as his wallet would allow. He will be missed by his children, grandson, family, and all of those whose lives he touched.
