ROCHESTER - It is with the deepest of sorrow that we announce the passing of David M. Trudeau; son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, son-in-law and friend to many. Dave was born on March 23, 1955 in Biddeford, Maine, the fourth and youngest child of Jean Taylor and Paul Trudeau. He passed from this world and into the arms of his God on April 29, 2019, just 23 days from the passing of his much-loved mother-in-law, Florence Houreas Simpson.
Dave was a quiet and private man of few words and his character was beyond reproach. Trustworthy, loyal, kind, generous, benevolent, and loving, he was content to sit quietly in the background and watch his family and friends enjoy the fruits of his labors. His sense of humor was unique and timely. He loved spending endless hours working in his yard, boating on the lake, an occasional game of golf, watching his children and grandchildren play sports, fireworks on the 4th of July and celebrations with family and friends.
He was a devoted fan of Boston Sports and Fox News.
Employed by OASIS Alignment services in Rochester for over 35 years, he considered them his second family. Our family will be eternally grateful for their continuous support throughout his illness.
Dave leaves behind his wife of 42 years, Nancy; his son, Matthew Trudeau of Rochester; his daughter Brie and her husband Zach of Scarborough, Maine; his adorning grandchildren, Dalaney and Kael Trudeau and Ozzie and Wren Bodah; many nieces and nephews; and his devoted mother, Jean Taylor.
Dave was taken from us long before his time. He showed tremendous courage throughout his illness and battled until the end. His memory will live on in his children and grandchildren.
