COLEBROOK - On Sunday morning, July 9, 2023 at the age of 76, David Neal Gadwah of Colebrook was welcomed at the Gates of Heaven by his parents, Mervyn and Florence, and his son Ryan.
In his early years David traveled extensively throughout the United States and many other countries as part of a military family before settling in Colebrook, where he graduated from high school and started his own family. He also attended the University of New Hampshire and served in the United States Army.
In his later years, David enjoyed camping and square dancing. He loved animals, trying to grow flowers and house plants, playing any and all games, that you brought to him and spending time with his family. David was a true artist and had a God-given talent for drawing and painting.
David was a wonderful Son, Brother and Father. He was also an amazing "Pop Pop" to his two granddaughters Grace & Brooke, both of whom he was extremely proud of.
He will be dearly missed by his daughter Shari; Son-in-law, Dennis; Granddaughters, Grace and Brooke, his Sister, Linda and her husband Greg; his Partner Gloria; his nieces and nephews; many friends; and his beloved dog, Cooper.
His family will have a service at a future date in Colebrook; where he will be buried with his son Ryan and finally be reunited with the piece of his heart that has been missing for far too many years.
We would like to thank the staff in the ICU of Wentworth Douglas Hospital for showing such kindness and care to him and us during his final days.
