DOVER - Denise Estelle Durand died on May 16, 2024, after a short illness with an aggressive form of cancer. A beloved sister, aunt, and great aunt, she was the baby of a family of five girls, born to Lionel Durand and Rose Lacasse Durand on April 18, 1952.

Denise was always supportive of family and could be counted on to care for others, yet she was also an independent spirit. She enjoyed traveling and planning her trips, whether with friends and family or by herself. Denise loved spending time outdoors, camping, skiing, and swimming. Throughout her life, she also maintained interests in art, psychology, and spirituality: she was a lifelong learner.

Denise graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in 1970, and went on to complete her associates degree in Travel and Tourism from New England College. She worked in medical offices and administrative positions, before spending the majority of her career working for the government as a visa processor.

She is survived by her sisters Jeanne Durand Mariotti and Patricia Durand Koch, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Lucille Durand and Rita Durand Tsopas, and her parents.
