Derry man arrested in hit-n-run with State Police cruiser

GREENLAND - A State Trooper was injured on Saturday when their cruiser was sideswiped by a hit-and-run motorists who was arrested a short time later.

The incident occurred around 12:20 a.m. in Greenland during a motor vehicle stop on Interstate 95 southbound.

Police say the driver that hit the cruiser continued southbound without stopping.

A short time later Seabrook Police located the vehicle on Route 107 in Seabrook, where David Valle, 26, of Derry, was taken into custody.

Valle was charged with DUI, conduct after an accident, reckless driving and failure to move over for an emergency vehicle.

He was released pending a court appearance in May.

The trooper was treated for minor injuries at the Seabrook Emergency Clinic and later released.
