LEBANON – The Lebanon man who injured his back when he fell off his roof in February while shoveling snow is out of the hospital, at home and able to stand on his own, his wife said today.

Dr. Paul Basko, a well-respected and liked chiropractor who owns a practice in Springvale, fell while shoveling snow from his Fall Road home on Feb. 22 and was in an intensive care unit for about 10 days.

Georgia Basko said today that her husband had suffered no paralysis. He returned home this week after more than six weeks at the hospital.

He underwent surgery at Maine Medical Center to help repair his back three days after his fall and family members at the time said he responded well to the operation.
