ROCHESTER - Dorothy Louise Roberts, 79, loving wife of Edgar Roberts, died Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the Rochester Manor surrounded by her husband and children. Dorothy was born February 19, 1939 in Rochester and was the daughter of the late Raymond and Irene (Boucher) Sherman. She lived most of her life in Rochester, but her early childhood and memories were in East Rochester.
Dorothy held several jobs but is most remembered for her generosity of spirit and the many times she volunteered to help others in need. She valued family and friends above all else and loved sharing food and fun with them.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Edgar Roberts and their five children, Llyn Roberts of Port Townsend, Wash., Steve Roberts and wife Tori of Austin, Texas, Patti Chiburis and husband Steve of Upton, Mass., Stephanie Adams of North Easton, Mass., and Eric Roberts and wife Beyonka of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; her 11 grandchildren, Sayre and Eben Herrick, Maren and Samuel Chiburis, Matthew, Brenna and Audra Adams, Jackson and Bella Roberts, McKinley and Kasey Roberts. She also leaves behind her brother, John (Jake) Sherman and his wife Florence of Florida. She is predeceased by her siblings, Sonny and William Sherman, Patricia Dupre, Betty Lou Hebert.
