DOT to do culvert replacement work on Rt. 16 in Milton 24 hrs. a day thru Friday

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation will begin a culvert replacement project work on Route 16 in Milton today through the end of the work week.

Work will take place about three miles south of Exit 17 near mile marker 25.6 and is scheduled to begin today with operations expected to continue 24 hours a day through Friday until the work is complete.

During daytime operations traffic will be shifted into a two-way lane configuration. Nighttime operations, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. will be controlled by flaggers.

Message boards, uniformed officers, traffic control devices, and flaggers will be used to help guide motorists safely through the area. Drivers are reminded to slow down, stay alert, and follow all posted signs and directions from crews on site.
