ROCHESTER - Douglas Alan Fleming, 66, of Rochester, formerly of Phoenix, Ariz., and Malden, Mass., died on November 23, 2021, after a long period of failing health.

Douglas was born on May 1, 1955, in Melrose, Mass. "Doug" was the son of the late Alan J. Fleming and Margaret "Lila" Fleming formerly of Malden, then Brockton, Mass., leaves behind a daughter, Sydney Viscarello of Lynn, Mass., a sister, Alana L. Bowdridge of Vero Beach, Fla., a sister, Sherrill A. Steiner of Portland, Texas and many nieces and nephews: Scott Lewis of San Antonio, Texas, Brian Lewis of McKinney, Texas, Hollie Swierc of Portland, Texas, Heather Bowdridge Ankiewicz of North Andover, Mass., Kevin Bowdridge of Middleton, as well as grand nieces and nephews Lila Ankiewicz, Nicholas Ankiewicz, Kevin Lewis, Kristin Lewis, Scott Lewis, Steven Lewis, Courtney Lewis, Carley Lewis, Macy Swierc and Darryl Swierc, Jr.

Douglas loved working in the trades as a licensed carpenter, roofer, and painter. He worked for Blomerth Construction, later opening his own window/door business in Malden and lastly at Home Depot. He also was a member of the Millwright & Carpenters Union.
