Dover man accused in multiple attacks on SCSO deputies, jail, hospital personnel

DOVER - A Dover man formerly detained at the Strafford County House of Correction has been indicted in several December attacks on jail personnel, Strafford County Sheriff's Deputies and a Wentworth-Douglass Hospital security guard.
Kevin Croft, 31, formerly of Sylvin Avenue, Dover, is accused in three Dec. 2 attacks, first when he is alleged to have punched a female corrections officer and a female deputy in the face and later spitting twice on a Wentworth-Douglass Hospital security guard.
Two days later Croft head-butted another corrections officer, according to charging documents released last week.
Croft faces up to 33 years in prison if convicted.
Subsequent to the multiple attacks Croft was transferred to the Rockingham County House of Correction.
The Strafford County February indictments were handed down on Feb. 15 and released to the public last week.
An indictment is not an indication of guilt, rather that enough evidence has been presented to a grand jury to warrant moving forward to trial.
