Dover man charged with 2nd DUI, resisting arrest during late night incident

ROCHESTER - A Dover man was charged with his second DUI and resisting arrest during an early morning incident that unfolded Tuesday at the Knight Street Cumby's .

It began around 3:10 a.m. when a nearby officer was approached and told that there was a male in a red Hyundai at the Knight Street Cumberland Farms who was possibly under the influence.

The officer was advised that the male was driving around in the parking lot and seemed to be disoriented and under the influence.

The Officer then went to the Knight Street Cumberland Farms where he found a red Hyundai in the parking lot. While investigating the concern brought to his attention he began speaking with Justin D. Barnes, 30, of Pleasant View Circle, who took of running but stopped when he came up against a fence.

Barnes was taken into custody without further incident and charged with driving after rev/sus; DUI, DUI 2nd impairment, resisting arrest, unattended vehicle and a Capias on a drug charge.

He refused bail and was transported to the Strafford County Jail.
