Dover man remains in jail on drug trafficking charge

DOVER - A Dover man has been arrested on drug trafficking charges after a joint investigation by Dover Police and the Strafford County Sheriff's Office.

Joseph A. Villone, 48, of 2 Westgate Drive #6, was arrested on possession of a controlled drug with the intent to distribute, a Class B felony that carries a seven-year maximum prison term.

Villone was arrested at his residence on Feb. 21as detectives executed a search warrant there. Police seized fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, and electronics linked to narcotic sales.

Villone was held in preventative detention and arraigned the next day. He remains held at the Strafford County Superior Court. He remains held at the Strafford County House of Corrections.
