DOVER - Dover Police are investigating the apparent drug overdose of a 29-year-old local woman.

Police and fire responded to the Dover Community Trail near the pedestrian footbridge around 12:40 a.m. on Sunday after a woman identified as Leighanne Page was found unresponsive.

Page was transported to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

While the cause and manner of Page's death will ultimately be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, at this time it appears to be drug related.

If in fact Page's death is due to a drug overdose, it will be the seventh in Dover this year.

This case is being investigated by the Dover Police Department's Special Investigations Bureau.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Dover Police Department at 603-742-4646. Anonymous tips may be called into the Dover Crimeline at 603-749-6000. The Dover Crimeline can also be contacted via www.dovernhcrimeline.org.
