Dover road closures set for Moms on the Run 5K

DOVER - Dover Police have decided on the following road closures for the annual Moms on the Run Mother's Day 5K event, one of the 2024 Dover Race Series events.

On Sunday at 9 a.m., the following road closures will be in effect:

· Exit 7 southbound on- and off-ramps from the Spaulding Turnpike (9:05 to 9:30 a.m.)

· Bellamy Road, in the easterly direction between Durham Road and Alumni Drive 9:05 to 10 a.m.)

· Rutland Street between Cataract Avenue and Central Avenue (9 to 9:20 a.m.)

· Cataract Avenue (9 to 9:15 a.m.)

Motorists should expect delays at the Central Avenue/Mill Street/Exit 7S intersection, and a lane shift along Route 108 between Rutland Street and Bellamy Road. Dover police personnel and event volunteers will be on hand to help manage the flow of traffic along the race route. The start and finish point for this event is Dover High School, 25 Alumni Drive.
