DOVER - The man police captured after an hourslong manhunt in Dover on Tuesday was arrested at Strafford County Jail on Thursday on sex offender charges.

Zachery Lajoie, 24, was charged with multiple counts of failing to comply with sex offender registration laws by Dover Police who first began an investigation after Lajoie failed to update his address with the sex offender registry in January.

As a result of that investigation, SIU detectives obtained an arrest warrant charging Lajoie with violating RSA 651-B:5 "Change of Registration Information, Duty to Inform," which was executed on June 3.

According to Dover Police, Lajoie was released on personal recognizance bail only to fail to register again.

As a result, Dover Police arrested him again on Thursday.

Lajoie, who on Tuesday was wanted on multiple unrelated warrants including drug possession, initially fled from police, which resulted in a lengthy search by numerous officers near Weeks Crossing in Dover before Lajoie was located and arrested.

Lajoie was arraigned in Strafford County Superior Court shortly after his Thursday arrest and was released again on personal recognizance bail. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call the Dover Police Department at 603-742-4646.
