Dover's River Street to be closed from April 8 till Labor Day

DOVER - River Street will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic 24 hours a day starting April 8.

The closure also includes a section of sidewalk at the northeastern edge of Henry Law Park and a section of Washington Street from the Makem Bridge. The closure is anticipated to continue through at least Labor Day.

The closure will allow the contractor to install a new water main, stormwater drainage, and electrical duct bank related to the waterfront project and complete other roadway work.

Public parking will be prohibited on River Street when the closure occurs. Contact the Parking Bureau at 603-516-6132 for parking questions.
