Dover's Witches Market fest set for Sunday at noon

DOVER - Dover's second annual Witches' Market will result in some road closures and parking restrictions.

The Sunday event will shut down Central Avenue from 10 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. between the intersections of Hale and Washington streets. This is a short stretch of Central Avenue between Dover City Hall and the intersection of Washington Street. Temporary traffic detours will be in effect.

Parking restrictions will be posted in the following locations to accommodate the event and prohibit public parking:

  • Central Avenue will be closed from Hale Street to Washington Street from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Parking will also be prohibited on this section of Central Avenue.
  • Parking will also be prohibited on Saint Thomas Street between Central Avenue and Locust Street, and the Belknap parking lot.

The Witches' Market is a downtown block party featuring vendors and small businesses specializing in witchcraft, magic, herbalism, spiritual readings, and handmade artisan goods. The event runs from noon until 5 p.m. and is free and open to the public. The Market will be set up both indoors in the City Hall Auditorium and outdoors on streets in the vicinity of City Hall.
