Dozens more UNH cases come to light, but hospitalizations at pandemic low

CONCORD - COVID-19 cases at UNH's Durham campus continue to spike with current cases now numbering 40, while another 38 are now listed as recovered.

Other New Hampshire colleges listed with cases include Keene State College with four, New England College Henniker with three, New England College Manchester with three, Plymouth State University with two and UNH Manchester with two.

Numbers for the town of Durham show 27 current cases.

Meanwhile, state DHHS announced 37 new positive test results for COVID-19 on Saturday, including six under 18 and seven from Strafford County.

One new hospitalized case was identified for a current total of six, down from seven on Friday and the lowest count since the pandemic forced a State of Emergency in mid-March.

Meanwhile, local number include five in Rochester and Dover, 1-4 in Somersworth, Barrington, Farmington and Somersworth and none in Milton and Strafford.

DHHS also announced one additional death related to COVID-19, Rockingham County woman 60 or older.
