ROCHESTER - A Rochester woman was arrested on Monday after police say her young daughter was unable to wake her and was seen wandering the streets near their Dora Drive home.

Natasha Nailor, 26, of 7B Dora Drive was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a Class B misdemeanor.

When Rochester Police arrived Nailor was “groggy,” said Sgt. Michael Brinkman today.

Police could not divulge the exact age of the young girl, but did say she was under 6.

Dora Drive is a side street off Rochester Hill Road, and the child was less than 100 yards from the busy highway when spotted around 6:15 p.m. by a resident who called police.

Brinkman said the little girl tried several times to wake her mother up before wandering off. He said police had no comment on whether drugs or alcohol were involved.

Nailor was bailed on $2.500 personal recognizance pending a July court hearing.

As part of the bail she can have no contact with her daughter, who was released to relatives.
