LEBANON - Maine State Police say one of two teenage drivers involved in Veterans Day crashes that occurred in Lebanon will be cited for excessive speed.
The most serious accident, which occurred when a car overturned on Lower Guinea Road, was caused by excessive speed and the driver will be cited, said Maine State Trooper David Coflesky. The driver’s name was not released.
In that incident, two teenage females from Lebanon were in a Nissan Sentra when it crashed. They were transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with what were described as serious but nonlife-threatening injuries.
Coflesky said the other accident which occurred on Carl Broggi Highway about a mile west of Little River Road was the result of driver fatigue.
In that crash, a 2001 Ford Explorer left the roadway and ended up in a marshy area a couple of hundred feet from the highway. It was driven by a teenage male from Acton.
