ROCHESTER - The driver killed on Saturday when their pickup truck struck a tree on Blackwater Road has been identified as a Barrington man.
The single-vehicle crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. in the area of Tebbetts Road when police say a Nissan Titan pickup hit the tree entrapping the driver.
Emergency personnel arrived on scene and determined the driver, 58-year-old David Murphy, was deceased.
Traffic in the area was shut down and rerouted for an hour and half while emergency personnel tended to the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
