DOVER - The Children's Museum of New Hampshire offers an earlier, kid-friendly option for New Year's Eve with a special family friendly celebrtion set for 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Tuesday.

Three "countdowns" to midnight" at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. are replete with a glittery disco ball drop and wish blimps that descend on the crowd!

Families can play in the exhibits, make sparkly recycled paper hats, and take pictures in the museum's photo backdrop, complete with fun props. The museum closes early at 3 p.m., so everyone can be home, safe and warm in their pajamas for the New Year. The family fun is all included with museum admission and is free for museum members.

The museum will be closed on Wednesday but reopens for regular museum hours on Thursday.
