ROCHESTER - An East Rochester pair was arrested on Thursday on a host of charges in connection with a fight said to have occurred back in January.

Police first became involved after they were called to the scene of the ruckus on Harrison Avenue near Leonard Street around 10:40 p.m. on Jan. 13.

Upon police arrival police learned that at least two subjects had fled the scene, and after an investigation warrants were issued for Michael J. McMahon, 39, and Brittany J. Gonzales, both of 28 Main St., #1.

McMahon was charged with felony second degree assault for alleged strangulation of one of the victims, a 46-year-old city man, and two counts of simple assault for striking him in the head with his hands or fists, both Class A misdemeanors.

Gonzales was charged with four counts of simple assault for allegedly striking her victim, a 37-year-old city woman, with her hands or fists.

Both arrests came as the two turned themselves in at the police station around 4 p.m. on Thursday.

McMahon and Gonzales were both bailed on personal recognizance with pending April arraignments.
