DOVER - Edgar W. Bill, 93, peacefully died on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018 at Langdon Place in Dover after a period of failing health.
He was born March 31, 1925 in Enfield, the son of William and Donalda (Rameor) Bill.
He was a WWII Army veteran, received a Bronze Star and Purple Hearth and fought at the Battle of the Bulge. He retired from the Army Reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel after 27 years of service.
He had been employed as a Nuclear Inspector/Auditor at the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard after 20 years of civil service.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2048, the American Legion Post 61, Battle of the Bulge Tri-State chapter and Reserve Officers Association of United States.
He resided in Miltonfor 47 years before moving to Dover in 2009.
He was predeceased by his wife of 70 years, Joyce (Sweatt) Bill.
Survivors include a son, John Bill of Nashua N.H.; three daughters, Sandra J. Colby and her husband George of Plympton, Mass., Carla Bill of Concord, N.H. and Susan Bill of Gloucester, Mass.; three grandchildren, Megan Colby Donahue and husband Brian, John and Jesse Bill, and one great-grandson, Orion Donahue.
He had two brothers, Herbert Bill of Nashua, N.H. and the late Charles Bill.
