Edgy Muddy Ruckus to play 4X4 Proving Grounds

LEBANON - Muddy Ruckus, an up and coming duo of nationally touring talented musicians living in Portland, Maine, will perform at 4X4 Proving Grounds Aug. 15 when Clear Choice Events hosts what is dubbed a family friendly country festival called "Hog Wild."

The event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. features music from Muddy Ruckus, lawnmower racing, mega truck displays, "aqua" tug-o-war, skillet toss contest, pig roast and more.

Some of the best drivers on the cutting edge of their sport will be haulin' grass in a demonstration of their skills in the lawnmower racing arena. Mega Trucks, the next level down from a "Monster Truck" and, as such do so much more than a Big Old Monster Truck, will be on hand to give a demo to entertain guests of all ages.

Proving Grounds will be opening their "Aqua" pad to the public. Guests are welcome to try to see if their machine can out-pull another in a very nontraditional Tug-O-War!

There will also be various contests such as skillet toss, hot dog and pie eating contests.

Meanwhile, Muddy Ruckus, which comprises Ryan Flaherty on guitar and Erika Stahl on percussion features old-timey, down homey, gritty Dylan-esque music with an infectious energy and a touch of backwoods blues.

The band performs from 1-4.

Admission is free to Military members and dependents with ID; $10 for general public, $5 for parking. Kids 8 and under are free. Free tent camping will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

No outside food or beverage will be permitted, but there will be food and beverage for purchase in the festival area.
